Mack Carson

Bio

Mack joined Canada ICI in 2016 and originally worked out of Canada ICI’s Edmonton office. Over the course of his career, he has been directly involved in placing over $750 million in commercial mortgages on behalf of private investors, developers, REITs, and private equity firms from across Canada. Today, he works out of Victoria, structuring a wide variety of effective financing solutions for clients’ needs in Western BC.

I joined CICI because it was an opportunity to work with some of the best financiers and businesspeople in the Canadian CRE industry. The foundation of expertise and ethics that has been learned from our team will shape me for the rest of my career.

I like working in commercial real estate finance because I have always been interested in the buildings and projects that make our cities and communities what they are. Working on the financing side of the industry allows us to really get hands-on with helping clients execute on those visions.

I am motivated by a desire to continually grow and learn something new every day.

I believe the keys to success are having integrity, setting ambitious goals, and having a strong work ethic.

My favourite part of my role is designing and executing a successful strategy with a client from the initial consultation to execution and funding. Especially on the construction side, it is extremely satisfying to watch a project come to life and improve the city.
