Josh Oswald

Bio

Josh joined the mortgage origination team, as a Mortgage Analyst in 2022. Here he assists in underwriting and analyzing commercial mortgage investments. He also helps originators through the funding process.

Prior to joining Canada ICI, Josh was a commercial real estate appraiser, working on all asset classes in the Edmonton CMA. Josh holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta, with a major in finance.

I joined Canada ICI because the firm is filled with some of the brightest and most determined minds in commercial real estate finance.

I like working in commercial real estate finance because of the breadth of knowledge that can be attained. No two deals are identical, which allows learning into perpetuity.

I believe the keys to success are a culmination of hard work, determination, resiliency, and integrity.

I am proud of my continued involvement with the University of Alberta Real Estate Club. This club provided me mentorship and insight into the professional world; I look forward to contributing to this.

If you ask about me, my colleagues would say I am personable, hardworking, curious, and honest.

I am motivated by the feeling of accomplishment after completing a goal or solving a problem.
